I've had my VNS for 10 months and there has been very little change since I got my VNS implanted .
I am a 38 yr old woman who has had epilepsy since she was 2 years old .
Since I've gotten the the VNS I've gotten stitches once and staples twice in my head .
There has been no great improvement I've had 40 or more seizure last month alone.
I don't go down as much in seizures.
I have Comlex partial ,Grand mal , partial seizures.
I had brain surgery oin 1982 which did decrease my seizures a little bit but they got worse as I got older.
I've been on 16 different drugs and for my epilepsy and they have been good at depressing me .
My VNS controlled me for a litle while but than it stopped working .
My drugs don't control my seizures either .
My sz's are intractable so Im not controllable .
I've given up on the VNS ever working on me.
It sems to work for other people though .
I gave up long ago.
I've broken my nose because of seizures.
Since I got the VNS I've busted my head open .
Its definitely no cure.
