Cesslie has a unique situation...
The wire lead from the VNS device to the connection on the vagus nerve broke and she, apparantly, can not get a saisfactory solution to her problem...
She didn't have a lot to say, she just sent me an e-mail and said: "Here... print it!" (or words to that effect.)
In regard to my problem with a broken lead on my VNS.
Cyberonics says the lead can't be repaired and the wires have to stay in place. Cyberonics did not warn me about this problem before the operation. Because of scare tissue on the Vegus nerve, there is a danger of cutting the nerve if they try to remove the wire. The VNS did improve my situation while it was working. Now I will never have the use of it again. Cyberonics will not speak to me about this problem.
Has anyone else had this problem?
